Dutchman promoter Bert Holdorp's Estáras Playa S.L. website no longer exists - at least not where it used to. Has the builder of dreams reinvented himself out of necessity, in the way of all con artists? Albe Servicios S.L. have a website devoted to a product called Royal Grass... Is it too much to hope that the Spanish housing market is rid of these people?
Their website is now predominantly Spanish and they seem to have removed the misleading words (at least in English) I quoted in the sidebar. However, Ronald Goosen still heads up this outfit. Shame on you, Ronald.
The Marodeen partnership (aka Casa Del Sol) have recently become closely involved with Scott Pinkham International - a similar type of company purporting to do the right thing for seekers of overseas properties. An associate of this company is the architect Hedley Greentree, lately of HGP Architects (Fareham) - a noteworthy company with some fine employees. Is Mr Greentree aware of the suffering of Casa Del Sol customers in the village of Pozo del Esparto and the inability of the Marodeens to support their customers when dreams turn bad?
End of August 2007 and the Pozo site remains empty. Last I heard, my in-laws planned to sue for the return of their deposit plus interest and expenses. I daresay the proprieters of Casa del Sol, Gogo Estates and their comrades in deception still raise their glasses to other people's money and the lawlessness of Spanish civic life.
One or two buyers are getting reports from their 'lawyers' and/or Bert the Bully (in his usual rude and arrogant fashion) that the final paperwork for the site is coming through. If this is true than there is a god after all and ABOUT TIME TOO.
Even incompetent officials, scheming developers and their hired bullies, svelte-tongued agents and their UK promoters, even these will eventually seem to tell the truth if they repeat the same phrases often enough. Probably.
It is worth repeating: If it is true at last then there is a god after all and ABOUT TIME TOO.
Confederacion Espanola de Cajas de Ahorros responded on 3 November to my open letter of complaint as follows:

En las páginas a las que da acceso este portal, se incluyen diversas informaciones que tienen por objeto orientar a los clientes de las entidades bancarias y de crédito sobre algunos elementos prácticos habituales en sus relaciones con esas entidades.
Comoquiera que el asunto que plantea no guarda relación alguna con los cometidos de este Portal, por tratarse de una incidencia en el sector inmobiliario, nos vemos imposibilitados para darle contestación alguna, sin perjuicio de remitirle, en todo caso, a los tribunales de justicia.
